Cheesy. Garlicky. Buttery. And made for pulling apart while it’s still warm. Try this homemade Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread made with Country Pride Bakers Flour, three cheeses and a local flavour boost from shadon beni and pimento.
Combine lukewarm milk, yeast and ½ tbsp sugar. Set aside for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt and 1 tbsp sugar.
Add melted butter and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix into the flour until a soft to medium dough forms.
Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Lightly rub with butter, cover and leave to rise for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Process garlic, shadon beni and pimento into a chunky paste. Mix with softened butter.
Roll the risen dough into a large rectangle. Spread with the garlic-herb butter, then sprinkle evenly with mozzarella, cheddar and pepper jack.
Cut into squares, stack loosely and arrange upright in a greased loaf pan.
Cover and proof for another 15 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until golden brown and cooked through.
Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm and start pulling! 🧄🧀🍞
